Easter Cookies with the nieces

Ken and I are blessed with Nine little nieces and Seven little nephews (with four more nieces on the way!). last weekend, we invited some of the nieces up to make easter cookies. Unfortunatley, Ashley was not able to make it with her two girls but we still had five little girls under the age of 6. What a great time!
We had 15 different easter cookie cutters for them to choose from. They cut about 4 dozen cookies out. By the time the last cookie was cut out, the first cookies were ready to be frosted and decorated.

Eliza is pretenting to eat her first one with the frosting on it. here is the finished product
Sofie discovered the sprinkles near the end. She covered one of her cookies, at one point we didn't think there was a cookie under the sprinkles.
Each girl got thier own plate to put their cookies on so they could enjoy them later. They all did such a great job! i really thought they would decorate one or two and be ready to move on to something else. They didn't, they each decorated about 8 eggs. Here are the finished products.

we only had one little oops. When Savanah was leaving, she tripped and dropped her cookies. Poor girl! They were a crumbled mess. She has the saddest face ever! Luckily, we had a few of the cookies that she had decorated and given me so we were able to "fix" the crumbs. he she is when she is smiling! She looks so proud of her bunny!

I am so glad Nate and Kate and Sarah and Eric were willing to make the trip. We had so much fun playing with them. Each girl is so unique! We truly are blessed to have so many little ones around us.
