Spring in Utah

What a wonderful time of year. April is the month when you need a snow shovel AND a lawn mower!
I always know spring has officially arrived when our daffodils are blooming. That doesn't mean we are finished with snow though. Every year the daffodils get buried in snow at least twice. The snow usually melts by the afternoon but it is still a shock to wake up to.

Utah plants must be a little more sturdy than those from say Arizona. Sure, they have to handle 100 + degree weather but they don't have to handle the 70's one day and 30's the next. They get to dig in and look for water all year while our little plants go through a feast then famine.

Oh, I love this time of year!!! This flux in temperatures and rain/snow just means one thing, Summer is on it's way!
