Silly Kitty!

Why do cats love the computer so much? Every weekend I spend a lot of time in the office: balancing the checkbook, writing up my most recent recipes, organizing pictures etc. My Kitty always has to be where I am. If I do not pay attention to her she will sit right in the way and meow in my face until I pet her.

The other day, I was in the office and had been for a while when she sauntered in. I was working on organizing things in my files and didn't want to stop and pay attention to her. She jumped up on the desk and sat right on the key board! I pet her for a moment and the put her back on the floor. The next thing I know, she has climbed back on the desk and curled up with her head on my arm. It makes it kind of tough to use the mouse with a kitty on your arm but I managed. how could I make her move? Look how cute she is!

Most people don't get to see this side of her because she plays tough when strangers are around. She has become friends with our good friends John and Steve. They were over a few weekends ago, we were watching a movie downstairs. Phoenix comes strolling into the room, climbs on the ottoman, looks right at John and Meows extremely lowdly! She was ready to snuggle with them(or wanted them to leave I am not sure which one, but I think she wanted to snuggle).

She loves to climb into boxes. I am not sure wether it is the enclosed space she likes or what. Here is a pic of her in the chip box. It looks like she is going to bite Ken but she is really yawning.

If only we could get her to stop bullying the dog!

Off Roading With the folks!

Ken and I bought our first SUV shortly after we got married. We couldn't see having a vehicle that would go in the dirt and not take it in the dirt. SO, we started going off roading. We love to go! Ken's parents love it too. They have always had an suv that is capable of off roading and use it frequently. The past few weekends, we have gone out in the dirt/snow/mud with them. It has been a blast! here are a few pics of both very capable vehicles.

Here is their jeep. We just got off a trail by Jeremy Ranch. You cannot tell but both vehicles have quite a bit of mud.

Here is our Fj after the same trail. I don't think the ink was dry on the ppwk for this vehicle before we took it for it's maiden voyage.

This week's adventure was out by UT lake. It is a fun area. TONS of trails. It seems like it was an old mining area at some point. The dirt is Red, almost purple, in some spots. Here are a few pics of both vehicles.
The Kirbicon - standing tall!

Ken got alittle too close for comfort on this shot!

It is beautiful out here!

It looks steeper in the car! Poor FJ still doesn't have a name and it has been three weeks. Any suggestions????

The first 300!!

We are bowlers. I know not something people brag about, but we love it! Ken, Lamont and I have been bowling together since roughly 2003. Lamont joined the PBA a few years ago. He bowles roughly 6 of their tournaments a year, while he is gone, we get a sub and keep the team alive. Last night was Lamont's second night back to the league since the tour. His first two games were pretty low, 178 then a 197 (he has a 202 average so he is well below his potential). He made up for it in the third game though. He bowled a 300!! That is a perfect game! It is Lamont's first perfect game since he started bowling 30+ years ago. Ken had never seen a perfect game. That was he first 300 game on our league EVER. WAY TO GO LAMONT!!!!!! We are so proud!!! Thanks also goes out to Jean for being his coach and keeping his mind where is needed (or didn't need) to be.

Proof of the perfect score!

The man himself! he got a little emotional after he threw his last ball - who wouldn't!

Here is the video proof of his last two balls. We were all a little worried on the last one - it was brooklyn.

My first time - be gentle!

Ok, After following all of my friends and family on blogs, I decided it may be time to start one of our own. Here goes! I am going to try to blog at least once a month. Since we are the only two in our family, there isn't much to blog about. We may blog more about our family, friends, critters, etc, but at least we are blogging! Enjoy our site!
